Meet your nominee
Kerry Graham is widely recognized as the driving force in bringing the Valley Wide Ribfest to life, transforming it into one of the region’s most anticipated annual events. The festival attracts more than 15,000 visitors from all corners of Nova Scotia, and has become a popular family weekend destination. Her ability to coordinate partners, manage logistics, and deliver a high‑impact event demonstrates her talent for building community connections and strengthening regional collaboration.
Before joining the Village of Greenwood, Kerry built a strong foundation in public‑sector and institutional administration through her work at CFB Trenton and Grand River Hospital. She was also a strong professional advocate for ASK – Autism Kelowna, contributing her voice, experience, and leadership to support families of children with invisible disabilities and to advance awareness, education and inclusion within the community.
Kerry’s background also includes experience supporting the most recent campaigns for MP Chris d'Entremont and MLA Chris Palmer as his campaign office manager. Here she contributed organizational skills, community outreach experience, and administrative support. Earlier in her career, Kerry also volunteered on the 2000 federal campaign of Conservative leader Stockwell Day in Penticton, British Columbia. She has continued to engage with political activities ever since.
Beyond her professional responsibilities, Kerry leads a family-focused life with her husband, adult children, and grandchild, balancing close community ties with the responsibilities of homestead living. Starting very early in life Kerry grew up working in her fathers energy conservation businesses. She gained a love for animals as a foster parent for the SPCA, horseback riding, agility and confirmation dog showing and the outdoors through hunting, hiking and fishing. Her home life now includes caring for her gardens, rabbits, chickens and dogs, reflecting her long-time love of animals and rural living. She is often involved in local community activities, contributing her time, energy, and enthusiasm to initiatives that bring people together and strengthen the social fabric of the Valley.
